Treasurer's Plantation near Jamestown

In 1621 Mr. George Sands, Esq., who had previously petitioned for his own plantation in Virginia, brought over on the George a number of servants: Martin Turner, George Bailife, John Sparks, John Dancy, John Edwards, Nicholas Tompson, Rosamus Carter, John Stone, a boy. In following year, more servants were transported from London. It appears that he had the plantation as early as 1619 when hired servants were transported on the Nova. It was called Treasurer's Plantation because Sands held the office of Treasureer of the Virginia Company of London.
