Ralph Hamor

In 1614 Ralph Hamor and Thomas Savage with two guides visited Powhatan's town on the Pamunkey River. After giving gifts, Hamor asked if one of their colonists, William Parker, lost for three years, could be returned. The request was refused. During the Indian massacre of 1622 the home of Ralph Hamor was attacked. Indians were driven off with brick-bats which were brick fragments used as a weapons or missiles.
